Macbeth at Arundel Castle 22 August 2014

This was an amazing setting for open-air Shakespeare. Arundel is certainly a beautifully preserved old town and the castle and cathedral formed a fantastic backdrop to the play. The GB Theatre Company really immersed the audience in the performance, with the witches and combatants etc. running around screaming, and moving behind and to the sides of us. Doug McRobbie as Malcolm delivered a particularly impressive, bellowing stage-presence. Highly recommended.
